I've finally reached the age where everybody tells me "You're one step closer to legality." Yes, I just turned 17!
For my 17th birthday, I told my mom I wanted simple but special so I came up with the idea of having a dinner with my family and friends, the friends closest to my heart. For the venue, I wanted it to be convenient for everyone so we (my mom and I) decided to have it in House of Lechon in Linao.
Since I am Allaine, the birthday celebration speaks a lot about my personality. The venue turned into a pink world for a while and I asked everyone to wear anything pink and/or white.
My birthday falls on a Tuesday which means there's class the next day (not to mention it's day 1 of our monthly exam the following day) but then I didn't want to celebrate it on a Saturday. We pushed through with the idea of celebrating it on the actual day. Special shoutout to my USC friends for coming despite the heavy traffic they have gone through before reaching to our meet up place which was in school.
The birthday celebration I wanted really happened. Words are not enough to describe how happy I was seeing everyone exchange stories and laughter.
Special thanks to my mom for preparing everything and to my papa making it possible!
So far, my 17th birthday is my favorite. The night happened so fast and how I wish I could relive the moment again. Nevertheless, I am thankful. Thanks to the Man above for giving me another year to live, learn and turn my dreams into reality.
